Art Cake

This cake, while slightly unusual was a perfect fit for the Henry Jones IXL Art Hotel. I've always wanted to do a cake with figs and limes!

In other news I really am on holidays now! To prove it I've already watched 4 dvds including:

  • The Nanny Diaries (should have just left it at having read the book)
  • Death at a Funeral (maybe it was just late but I found it a bit predictable and un-original except for the dwarf in the coffin bit)
  • Sicko (great)
  • Into the Wild (fantastic)
Which still leaves me with the Australian film Noise, and Boston Legal series 2 to get through.  I was planning to be out walking on the mountain today as we are having fantastic blue-sky no-wind type weather but I hurt my back walking to the warm-up for soccer yesterday and whilst I was able to play drug assisted, I need to rest it for a bit. I have the say that the pain of my injury was eased by scoring a goal so completely arsey that I was almost embarrassed. I toe-punted it (my specialty) from a good five metres outside the box and it floated over defenders, attackers and the keeper and sailed into the back of the net.  If I had've planned it then I would have been a legend.
